Project management is defined as the effective application of effective planning and organizing of the project and accomplishing the objectives of the project. It includes application of the knowledge relating to the project management so that the objectives can be effectively met. The present report will include the details of the project which is based on the development of the Janicki Omni processor which is a waste-water treatment system. The current report will outline the reflection relating to the whole project and its completion. It will include the evaluation of the project planning and the effectiveness of the whole project. It will also include the evaluation of the project methodologies and the risk management process along with recommendations relating to future success.
Main Body
The current report is based on the Omni process named Janicki Omni processor which is a type of decentralised waste treatment system. This setup works on killing the pathogens which assists in recovering the different important resources from the fecal sludge. This system aims to generate clean water, electricity, and heat and is very cost-effective. The whole system is designed flexibly and it aims to serve the whole community effectively. The analysis of the presentation is that the objective of the project was to protect the water from waste because many people are dying from diarrheal diseases and it includes mostly less than five-year-old children. The only way to assist in reducing these deaths is to provide access to people with clean drinking water so that these issues can be solved easily.
Further with the evaluation, I analysed that the current business case is viable and as a result of this, it is assistive in providing better services to the people. The project is viable because it focuses on providing a good working model to society which will assist in improving the working efficiency of the people living within the society. Further, the presentation also evaluated the scope of the project effectively. The scope of the project was very wide and as a result of this, the overall working efficiency and the implementation of the project were enhanced (Flyvbjerg, 2021). The scope of the project included the fact that it will focus on providing good health and well-being to the people. Along with this it also focuses on making society sustainable and providing clean energy at affordable prices.
Moreover, the budget of the project was effectively allocated and this was assistive in improving and conducting the project effectively. The fund is the most essential aspect which need to be maintained effectively. In case the funds is not easily available or are not appropriately used then it will affect the efficiency of the project to a great extent. Thus, with the evaluation of the whole project, I analysed that the use of effective allocation skills is much needed to be present (Reiff and Schlegel, 2022). The reason underlying the fact is that when the budget is effectively allocated then it assists in improving the overall working of the whole project. The reason underlying the fact is that the whole project is based on the funds which are used. In case the fund allocation was not good then the project could not have been made easy. Thus, the effective fund allocation and mobilisation resulted in the successful working of the project. It also resulted in the effective financial sustainability of the project as the whole of the project was made successful. Along with this when financial stability is present, the whole project will become effective and it will result in the successful accomplishment of the project objectives.
Moreover, it was also analysed that the effective management of the stakeholder is also very necessary. The reason underlying the fact is that stakeholders are the people who are interested in the success of the project. In case the stakeholders will not be kept happy then the overall project will not become successful. With the evaluation of the presentation, it is clear that the stakeholder matric based on power and interest was used for defining the project. In the current project, all the stakeholders of the project are distributed in four categories based on their interests and power within the company (Alkhudary and Gardiner, 2021). With this clarity of role, every stakeholder of the project knows what they have to do. Thus, it provides clarity within working and as a result of this the overall working efficiency is improved and the project will become successful. Moreover, when the effective roles and responsibilities are divided then there will be clarity in working and every person will perform their role in a very easier manner.
With further evaluation, it was seen that effective use and compliance with clear communication are very necessary. Communication is the only key with the help of which the whole project can be managed successfully. With help of the clear communication, people will be in a position to effectively work and will be happier with the working environment (Marnada and et.al, 2022). Thus, the project included an effective communication plan with the stakeholders so that the overall work is improved and the project objectives are attained. The communication plan is clear and this ensures that the overall objectives of the project have been attained well. Further, the evaluation of the key activities of the project includes many different activities. All these activities need to be implemented in practice so that the objectives can be attained well. These steps include selecting the appropriate project, conducting meetings and many other different steps (El Khatib, Almteiri and Al Qasemi, 2021). The thing which could have been included in the key activities was to review the project after conducting every 2-3 steps. This effective monitoring and controlling of the project will assist the project manager in accomplishing the task with more efficiency and effectiveness. The reason behind the fact is that when the monitoring is done after 2-3 steps then all the issues within these steps will be solved at the same time only. On the other hand, in case monitoring is done at the end then it will take more time to evaluate the whole project and make the necessary changes.
With further evaluation of the project, it was analysed that the project works in an external environment and there are many different types of risk that the business may face. Working within the external environment is very tough as there are many different types of changes taking place in the external working environment. Thus, it is the responsibility of the company they analyse all the possible risks which the project might face. Hence, an effective risk management plan is very helpful in the successful completion of the whole project. The different risks outlined within the project included economic, financial, commercial, and environmental and many others. The appropriate mitigation strategy needs to be present as it will assist in eradicating the risk appropriately so that the working can be improved well.
Moreover, the project also highlighted that all the methods used within the working are appropriately used. The reason underlying the fact is that when it will not be effective then the objectives will not be attained well. Thus, for the success of the business, it is very necessary that the overall working is improved. Further, the risk management plan was very effective because it included all the possible risks which the project of the Janicki Omni processor included. Also, it listed the possible solutions with the help of which these risks can be minimised. With this, I also learned that effective research skills need to be present with the project team (Zhu and et.al, 2022). The reason underlying the fact is that with the help of good research, the person is in a position to research all the risks well and their solutions as well. Also, with the analysis it was evaluated that there is a need to work on time management as well. Thus it is recommended to the team that they work on improving time management and for this they need to learn appropriate prioritisation skills. This is necessary because with the help of effective prioritisation person will list the urgent work on top and will try to attain it on time.

The above study highlighted the project relating to the Janicki Omni processor which works on providing clean water to the community so that negative working can be reduced. The above study included a reflection relating to the completion of the project. It inferred that the defining of the project activities is very necessary as it provides appropriate guidance for the completion of the project. It also analysed the communication is necessary with the stakeholders and the evaluation of different possible risks is also needed for the success of the project. In the end, it was recommended that improve my time management skills so that the project could have been completed on time.
