According to Gibb’s model, my self-development journey is being open to the growth and change by understanding about the leadership skills. I have learned about the face the challenge by being a leader and expand the comfort zone by making use of the capabilities. Through utilising the leadership skills I come to know about my strength which is related to the communication. Further, I have learned that the communication is the key to improve the leadership and it is crucial. However, the on the critical note, Accordance to Gibb’s model, I have identified that my confidence level is low which is the biggest drawback and I need to improve the same according to the action plan (Gibbs' Reflective Cycle, 2023). The journey has improved my understanding about how to deal with the numerous of people and resolve their issues as a leader. Through the journey I have developed numerous of skills and find out about my weaknesses on which I have work in the future for the better leadership. Through the SWOT analysis I have find out about the major weaknesses which are refusal to the delegate work, and Poor time management, I will work in the weaknesses to decrease it and will improve my leadership skills for the better growth in the future. 

Impact of the Developmental Activities on the Leadership Skills 

I have profound the impacts on both long term and immediate through the leadership skills. Accordance to the Gibb’s model, Due to the development activities such as art activity, management games and team leading games, I have understand about numerous skills. I have learned about the leadership skills and the issues can be resolved by open communication with the team members. These activities have developed my personal skills which help me to improve my leadership skills. This includes the skills such as problem solving, decision making and leadership. Due to the activities I have identified the weaknesses as well while completing the activities I have to work on my communication skills to improve the skills by feedbacks from the team, active listening and asking questions (Adeani et al, 2020). As accordance with the Gibb’s model, the development activities has been blessing for me to improving the leadership skill. In the future I have to improve my leadership skill to better explain the ideas to the team and covey the information to the numerous of people. The developmental activities have been helpful for me to manage the stress, setting clear goals, quality time and personal relation with the team. In the starting point I was facing the contemporary issues but now I am able to resolve the issues and manage the task easily. The activities were effective for throughout my journey and help me to build the leadership skills.

The Effectiveness of the Activity to Address the Identified Need

Due to the time management activity, I have developed the time management skills to manage my work on the time. Before I was not able to manage my tasks on the deadlines and  I have missed the deadlines as well, which have put the negative impacts in my team. Now I am able to manage my tasks and complete my tasks on the deadlines. In context to the Gibb’s model, this has created positive environment in the team and resolve some challenges related to the time management. In the leadership managing time is crucial; it has increased the productivity, improved creativity; enhance the reputation in the team. Due to the time management activity I have gained more opportunities and less stress, now I am able to manage the time and task together. In accordance with Gibb’s model, the effectiveness of the activity I have identified the need of the importance of the communication skill in the team. The communication has important part within the team and the impacts on the team. I have to work on the enhancing my communication skills and developing my relationship with the team members. Through the identification of the needs in the leadership the experience was good for me. I have gained knowledge about the leadership success and timely delivery of the work. The activity was the beneficial for the leaders and management. 

In context to the Gibb’s model, I have learned numerous of lessons about the leadership and importance of the numerous of skills which are important for the every leader. I have learned to be being open, positive, being passionate about my work, unselfish decisions, vision and focus on the goals and responsible. I have faced challenge about the managing numerous of team members of the same time with numerous of prospective. The issues occur on the bases of culture because the team members are from the different cultures. In context to the Gibb’s model, I was not able to communicate my ideas in the team due lack of communication skills. I have identified my personal growth as well such as qualitative and quantitative development of my skill. Due to the personal growth I have navigated the roles and inspire the team and drive the success. This has developed the numerous of skills through the journey.
