One of the main reasons behind doing this reflection is to shed light on my own learning about the overall leadership developmental journey. In this reflection, I will discuss and reflect on the current leadership experience that I have faced. In addition to this, I will also conduct a personality and leadership assessment test to show my strong and weak points. One memorable experience was working as the project manager for the product launch of an IT corporation. I effectively led a brilliant group of people, encouraging cooperation and ensuring that the project was finished on schedule. This experience demonstrated my ability to successfully distribute responsibilities, communicate properly, and push team members towards the same objective (Riggio,2016). On the plus side, my management style emphasised open communication and encouraged team members to express their thoughts and concerns. I saw greater involvement and innovation inside the team by fostering a supportive atmosphere. Furthermore, I aggressively solicited input from team members, which enabled me to handle any difficulties as they arose and enhance the overall outcome of the project. This strategy not only promoted a sense of ownership and empowerment among team members, but it also increased trust (Northouse,2021).
However, there were certain drawbacks to my leadership experiences. I had difficulty juggling competing objectives and making difficult decisions at times. For example, due to technical challenges, we had unanticipated delays during the product launch. It was difficult for me to maintain team spirit while keeping the project on pace. This event taught me the value of adaptation and resilience in leadership, as well as the need to communicate failures clearly while still offering support and comfort (Brown, 2021).
Overall, existing leadership experiences have given me significant insights into both the positive and negative sides of team leadership.
I just completed a battery of personality and leadership assessments to examine my strengths and limitations as a leader. The results revealed that my primary leadership style is affiliative, defined by an emphasis on developing connections, encouraging harmony, and nurturing team members' well-being. This personality type can help to create a happy and supportive work atmosphere. The exam did, however, disclose that I scored lower in the pacesetting style, which emphasises setting high standards and demanding perfection. This indicates that I need to work on improving my capacity to press for results and hold team members responsible.

Reflecting on the efficiency of my leadership self-development activities, I have discovered that they have been really valuable in terms of improving my leadership abilities and personal growth. These exercises have given insightful information, practical ideas, and opportunity for self-reflection. However, there is always opportunity for improvement, and I have selected future development initiatives to further my leadership development. The process of self-evaluation and goal-setting enabled me to get a better awareness of my own strengths and flaws. To broaden my expertise and keep current on developing trends, I plan to devote time to reading business publications, attending webinars, and engaging in online learning platforms. Leading cross-functional initiatives has given me the opportunity to hone critical leadership abilities including teamwork, adaptation, and conflict resolution. In the future, I hope to pursue more complicated projects that will stretch my talents while also providing opportunity for creativity and strategic thinking. In my leadership path, feedback and reflection have been beneficial. I will continue to actively seek feedback from others and foster an open communication culture among my teams. In addition, I will prioritise frequent self-reflection in order to analyse my success, enhance my leadership style, and discover opportunities for growth (Yammarino,2013).
To summarise, while my leadership self-development activities have been beneficial, there are several areas I intend to work on in the future. Experiential learning, growing my mentoring network, continual learning through reading and online platforms, demanding tasks, and maintaining a commitment to feedback and reflection are examples of these. I am certain that by consistently engaging in these developmental activities, I will further build my leadership abilities and evolve as a leader.
