It can be seen that to increase the efficiencies of employees, training is needed to be provided to them. There are different forms of training are provided to the employees depending on the work in which the employees are engaged. There are different people who are engaged for giving training to the employees. The selection of people for providing training depends on te contents of the training. It is also dependent on the objective of the training. In this project, one project was chosen for this report. This project was about the “Engelemere Rehabilitation Centre”. For this project, the employees are going to be trained. Also, the “senior manager” was given the responsibility of preparing an induction for the employees who were going to be working on this project. This report is all about identifying the contents that the induction should have. The contents should be selected such that the employees can have an understanding of the best practices for working ethically. Moreover, it should also be based on making aware the employees aware of their “corporate social responsibilities”. In this report, the different forms of issues that should be present in the induction are present. So, this report presents the contents of the induction.
On Each Order!
Ethical behavior understanding
In this induction the main thing that will be covered will be the practice of ethical behavior at the workplace. It is needed to make the employees know to create a good working environment in the organization. For this reason, the first thing that should be present in the induction is the critical aspect of ethical behavior (Rivera et al. 2021). To do this, it is needed to have a clear understanding of “ethical behaviors”. The things that should be covered in this are as follows.
Figure 1: Ethical Decision-making model
Chimp Paradox
It is to be noted that there are different people working together in an organization or in a project. In this case, also, the employees are given training on how to work by understanding their responsibilities. For people working together, it needs a good team effort. In this, the behavior of individual humans plays an important role. The main idea of the “Chimp Paradox” lies in the “mind mapping” of people (Uduji & Okolo, 2023). This theory was presented by Dr. “Steve Peters”. He divided the human into main two parts. The mind mapping takes into account the key aspects of the behavior of people in any situation.
Figure 2: Sections of the Brain
According to the professor, one part of the human brain is associated with “emotional & impulsive” behavior. On the other hand, another part of the brain is associated with rational behavior. In this theory, the “Chimp” is associated with the emotional thinking or behavior of humans. In contrast to this, the word “Paradox” refers to the logical thinking of the human brain (Leclercq et al. 2022). In any human, it can be seen a combination of these two. However, the proportions of these are different in different people. For managing people in an “Engelemere” project it is required to maintain a balance between these two sides of people. This is one of the most important parts that should be present in the induction.
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)
CSR is the thing that also needs to be present in the induction. It is to be noted that employees will have some social responsibilities working on this project. These are to be well communicated to the peers. The things that are to be included in this are as follows.
Ethical Leadership
It is to be noted that in this project a lot of teams are going to work together. Hence, the peers will be needed to form good teams with the workforce that they will have (Chian, 2021). In other words, the peers will need to become good leaders.
Conclusion
In this report, one project was considered. According to this project, the required induction for the peers was decided. It can be seen that one of the major requirements of this training was to make the peers aware of the “ethical practices” at the workplace. Moreover, the issues or contents that should be presented in the induction are also present here. This induction is going to the conducted by the senior manager of this project. This report is the reflection of the contents that the manager thinks should be present in the induction.
